by Anon. (Jack Hunt) · Illustrator: Anon. (W. Partridge)
Other content: Various strips and text stories.
Notes: Blake swims through a sluice pipe and emerges into the main house. He finds the generator room, from which power is supplied to the Grange’s many traps, but is there confronted by The Abbot and Burton. Burton flings a spanner at him and knocks him out but the tool rebounds into the room’s machinery and starts a fire. The villains leave the detective to burn. They fetch Mary Manville and make off. Blake recovers and finds Tinker. As the Grange burns, they catch up with the girl’s abductors and overpower them. The Abbot is exposed as Jason Manville, Mary’s cousin.
